Counseling Services

Counseling Services

I have extensive experience providing therapy and mental health support to individuals, couples, and families, particularly within the gay male and person of color communities, as well as expatriates navigating life abroad. I specialize in helping clients navigate the complexities of identity, family dynamics, and interpersonal conflicts, offering a safe and supportive space for healing. Whether addressing challenges related to cultural expectations, LGBTQ+ identity, complex family systems, or relationship struggles, I integrate a range of therapeutic approaches—including mindfulness, Brainspotting, inner child work, and parts and memory-focused therapies—to help you gain insight, resolve conflicts, and build resilience in both your personal and relational life.

In my therapeutic practice, I strive to create a space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and valued. Additionally, I believe in a holistic approach that considers the interplay between mental well-being, social factors, and personal growth. I aim to empower individuals to navigate their paths toward self-discovery, growth, and a more fulfilling life.

Therapies Used

At Journey Home Counseling, we integrate Brainspotting with Parts and Memory Work to offer a deeply transformative therapeutic experience. Both approaches complement each other by addressing the mind and body’s interconnected healing processes in unique and powerful ways.

Brainspotting helps access and process unresolved trauma, emotions, and memories by focusing on specific “brainspots” in the visual field, allowing for deep, somatic healing. The gentle, attuned nature of Brainspotting creates a safe space for the brain and body to release stuck energy and unresolved emotional material, often bringing forward memories or body sensations that had been buried.

By combining Brainspotting with Parts and Memory Work, we go beyond surface-level healing. As we identify and connect with different parts of the self—especially those that are holding on to unresolved memories or emotions—we use Brainspotting to access and process these memories and the emotional charge attached to them. This approach allows us to heal not just the memory itself but also the part of you that may have been protecting or carrying that memory, creating a more integrated sense of self.

The integration of both therapies means we’re addressing not only what you remember but also how those memories and parts of your self influence your emotions, behaviors, and relationships today. It’s a holistic approach that allows for profound healing, leading to lasting emotional freedom, resilience, and self-empowerment.
