Therapist, M. Ed., LMSW, CSW-Intern

Meet Moises Santiago,

I am a Spanish-speaking, queer-identifying therapist who provides a nonjudgmental, collaborative approach to help clients understand their behaviors and emotions while exploring the reasons they seek therapy. My goal is to help clients identify and overcome barriers that prevent them from living a full and meaningful life. I create a safe, affirming space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. Using a person-centered approach, I meet clients where they are, empowering them to take the lead in their healing journey while offering compassionate support and evidence-based guidance.

My practice specializes in supporting three distinct yet interconnected communities: individuals navigating the complexities of the gay male experience, people of color addressing unique cultural and systemic challenges, and expatriates or individuals living abroad who face the emotional and psychological demands of life across cultures. I am deeply committed to helping clients in these communities overcome family dynamics, societal pressures, and personal conflicts that contribute to emotional and mental health challenges.

Having lived in China for many years, I bring a unique perspective as someone who has personally experienced the challenges of living abroad, including cultural adjustment, professional transitions, and feelings of isolation. My lived experience as an expat and educator allows me to connect deeply with clients navigating these realities and provide culturally sensitive, tailored support.

Whether working with clients on cross-cultural identity exploration, addressing systemic barriers, or fostering self-acceptance and empowerment, my mission is to help each individual uncover their strengths, embrace their identity, and build a fulfilling, meaningful life. By combining professional expertise with personal insight, I offer a therapeutic partnership that fosters clarity, healing, and transformation.
